Vision is a huge area at The AV Dept not surprisingly. Covering everything from TVs to projectors and computers to capture cards. Visual presentations form the essence of most events. And now as the world streams everything we have hundreds of very useful black boxes to connect everything to everything.
TVs
TVs are available from 24” to 75” or 60cm to 187cm.
We feature the Hisense Brand but also offer Sonic, DSE, Samsung, Viewsonic and Dell.
There are roughly 200 TVs in stock, but sizes are constantly updating as needed.
We can offer 4K in 50” to 75”.
Desktop and exhibition stands, laptop shelves, cables, and other accessories are also available.
TV aerials and WiFi dongles and be hired to allow for TV content to be played. Great for The Melbourne Cup, Superbowl and of course the NRL/AFL.
Projectors and Screens
Panasonic is our preferred brand of projector and we offer as standard 5, 6 and 7k units.
Lenses are offered in wide, standard, long and very long zoom.
Screens are generally Stumfl brand and come in both 4:3 and 16:9.
Drape kits available.
2.4, 3.0m, 3.6m and 4.8m are available in the easy to handle grey plastic boxes.
We also carry NEC and Epson Projectors in desktop projector versions.
Cameras
Professional video cameras area available in Canon and Panasonic brands with SDI out.
There are Handy Cams in various brands for close up and small jobs or locked off filming. Manfrotto Vanguard tripods are available and as well as domestic tripod models. High quality colour PTZ cameras are available for tight spots and when a local operator can be problematic.
Cabling
High quality, long and flexible cables are available in SDI, HDMI, CAT 5/6 and RF along with what seems like 1000 adaptors. Our SDI cable go up to 75m long and are all individually labelled to make tracing easy.

Document Cameras and Visualisers
For the clients with non-digital content we can offer overhead projectors and a number of visualisers and document cameras. These can output in almost everything including USB, VGA, DVI and HDMI.
Overhead Projectors
Sometime only old technology will do and yes, we do hire overhead projectors. Great for interactive mapping displays and special object projection.
Presenter Computers, Laptops, iMacs, Tablets, iPads, Surface Pros
We offer a range of computers and tablets for control and presentation needs. Our Presenter laptops have VLC, Word, Excel and Power point licenced and installed.
We have MacBook Pros with Keynote and numbers installed.
All power and update settings have been adjusted to avoid shutdowns and updates mid show.
Our laptops have a labelled and active email account for the easy sending of files.
See our technology section for more info on other technology. A USB to HDMI Dongle is included so both presenter and audience screens can be sent to TVs or Projectors.
Logitech, Szikla and Remote Mouse systems are all available for hire and rental.
Converters and Adaptors
